A predictable transition visual support system, used to increase “communication of duration” between you and your Autistic student.
This resource is not a token based economy system, your student is not “earning” stars or any other visual in utilising this system.
The premise of the use of each star or visual icon is to represent the passing of a unit of time.
I have purposefully differentiated the “Duration Mapping” visual transition supports in this resource to also be inclusive of students who may find the visual representations of 5 boxes overwhelming. I have provided for a variety of “count down cards” and visual icon cards.
I have also included a singular countdown card in the format of a clock that can be worn on a lanyard and has 4 corresponding pieces without numbers to support Students who may become overwhelmed with visual communication.
This resource includes multiple “count down visual support cue cards” and various colour option countdown cards.
